Curriculum

Our Curriculum

The curriculum at Hayes Vocational Learning Centre (HVLC) is designed to address the growing demand for vocational skills in key industries across Uganda and Africa. By offering practical, hands-on training, the curriculum aims to equip learners with essential skills that not only enhance their employability but also empowers them to create sustainable livelihoods through entrepreneurship.

At HVLC, the curriculum is structured around four major areas of study: Art Fabrication and Design, Afri-Art Fabrics and Design, Agro-processing and Demonstration, and Engineering. Each area is tailored to meet the current and future demands of the industry, incorporating both traditional techniques and modern innovations. Each learning area has various course trades each learner will enroll to the trade of their choice. The curriculum is structured in modular form.  The modular nature of the curriculum allows learners to progress at their own pace, making it accessible to people from diverse backgrounds and experience levels.
