At Hayes Vocational and Learning Centre (HVLC), we believe that every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and lead a life of dignity and independence. Many young women in underserved communities face barriers to education and employment, leaving them vulnerable to poverty and exploitation. We exist to change that narrative.
Through our innovative micro-site model, HVLC brings skills-based training directly to the heart of communities, offering accessible, flexible, and relevant vocational education. From tailoring and hairdressing to digital literacy and agribusiness, our programs are designed to meet market needs while restoring hope and building resilience.

Bridging the Gap Between Education and Employment
HVLC aims to bridge the gap between education and employment by providing vocational training that directly aligns with the needs of the local and regional labour markets. The institution’s focus on high-demand, practical skills will ensure that graduates are well-prepared for immediate employment or entrepreneurial ventures. As Uganda continues to invest in the development of its vocational education sector, there is a clear market need for institutions that can provide relevant, quality training that addresses the skills shortages across various industries, ultimately contributing to the nation’s economic growth and social development.
